Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) will confer on the veteran singer, a DLitt degree at its 17th convocation ceremony in Nashik on March 1.

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) will confer on veteran singer, Asha Bhosale, a DLitt degree at its 17th convocation ceremony in Nashik on March 1.
This year, the university is going to award 56,419 degrees, said YCMOU Pune division director, Sharankumar Limbale, at a press conference held recently.
Besides, 57 prisoners from Nashik, Pune and Nagpur central jails will also receive degrees at the ceremony. Chancellor and state governor, K Sankaranarayanan, YCMOU vice-chancellor Rajshekhar Pillai and district guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal will attend the ceremony.
