The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) will have its annual public meeting on Saturday at 3pm on its premises at Madame Cama Road in Fort. Dr Vibhuti Patel, professor and head of the department of economics, SNDT Women's University, who has been invited to be the guest speaker, will be speaking on 'Rise and Respond to Ensure Public Safety for Women', which is the theme of the programme.

YWCA is a network of women leading social and economic change. It advocates for peace, justice, human rights and care for the environment and has been at the forefront of raising the status of women for more than a century. Through advocacy, training and development, the YWCA empowers women to lead social change.
It is a volunteer membership movement inclusive of women from many faiths, backgrounds, and cultures.
