The dna ICan Women’s Half Marathon, Asia’s first, is an initiative for women to make a difference by supporting the cause of educating girl children and celebrate the spirit of achievement. In its fourth year, the marquee event was held on Sunday, International Women's Day, at Bandra Kurla Complex.
While dna has stood up for various causes, a special focus has been devoted to a slew of initiatives towards women empowerment and largely the celebration of women power under the aegis of the dna ICan Foundation. It is a platform conceived to celebrate the spirit of achievement amongst women and empower them to be the best they can ever be.
To help them run the marathon without any difficulty fitness guru Mickey Mehta took over the stage and started with the warm-up sessions.
