An extramarital affair went horribly wrong when a woman was stabbed to death by her lover on Sunday. The incident happened when the 30-year-old woman told the accused she wanted to end their relationship after her husband got to know about it.

The deceased, Radhika Yadav (30) was employed at an industrial unit in Wada, where she fell in love with colleage Ram Narayan. Eight months after the two got into a relationship, Radhika's husband found out about it and asked her to end things with Ram.

On Sunday morning around 9, Radhika approached Ram near Devgaon phata on the Wada-Bhiwandi highway (state highway 35). She told him she wanted to end their affair, after which Ram allegedly stabbed her repeatedly.

Radhika's ornaments and purse were found at the spot, which aided the police in identifying her.

Inspector Sanjiv Hazare, Wada police said: "When the woman's husband learnt about his wife's affair with her colleague, they had a fight and he asked her to end matters with the accused. After stabbing the woman, the accused fled the scene, leaving her bleeding."

Inspector Hazare informed that a case has been registered under IPC Section 302 (murder). "We will arrest the accused soon as he is absconding," he added.
