A 30-year-old woman was arrested by the Juhu police for allegedly abusing and harassing a 22-year-old hotel employee who she suspected of being involved with her former boyfriend. The accused, Pooja Pandey, broke up with her boyfriend over a year ago and according to the police, had been harassing him and the victim for a long time.

"The victim approached us saying that Pandey had been abusing her and sending vulgar messages on the suspicion that she was in a relationship with her former boyfriend," said a police officer. Both the man and the victim work in a Juhu-based hotel. According to the police, Pandey had also been visiting the hotel, harassing staff members and asking them to sack the man claiming he had cheated on her.

Pandey had also been arrested by the MIDC police last year in a case where she took a SIM card in her boyfriend's name, sent abusive messages to herself and then complained against her former boyfriend. Investigations revealed that she had sent the messages to herself to trap him, after which she was arrested. After she was released on bail, she allegedly started harassing him again and later took down the number of the victim and started sending her abusive texts. Pandey was arrested and let out on bail.
