The dates of Mumbai University's end semester exams would clash with the chartered accountancy exam and the common admission test. On Friday, the board of examinations decided to postpone most of the major exams to November first week. So now 28 exams (TYBCom, TYBA, and TYBSc exams) are to be held from November 5.

The CA intermediate will begin from November 7 and the CA final exam on Nov 8. From November 7-21, there is a CA exam on every workinday.

Meanwhile CAT is scheduled for November 16 and 22.

The students now have to prioritise between the competitive exams and the university exams.

"The university should have take these exams into consideration as these are important exams for most of us. Now this has placed us in a difficult position as we have to choose between the two," said a TYBCom student.

However, Mumbai University is trying to find a solution this problem. Dinesh Bhonde, controller of examination, said, "Yes, some of the exams are clashing with the CA exams. There is a meeting of academic council today (Tuesday) where the deans will be present and we will find a solution to this problem."
