The traffic police have clamped parking restrictions and road closures on January 24 and January 26.
This is because they are anticipating vehicular congestion on NS Road (Marine Drive), MK Road (Queens Road) and the arterial roads as there will be the Republic Day Parade being on the stretch between NS Road Princess Bridge Road and NCPA.
N0 Parking on these Roads
No parking between 6am and 12 noon on January 24 and from 4am to 2pm on January 26 for all types of vehicles on the following roads:
NS Road - From Bandstand (Tambe Chowk ) to NCPA “D” Tata Road on both sides
Veer Nariman Road from Sunder Mahal to Churchgate Junction
Madam Kama Road Godrej junction to Mantralaya Junction
Barister Rajani Patel Road to Mantalaya Junction
Dishaw Waccha Road, MK Road, Veer Nariman Road
Princes Street Flyover bridge
MK Road: From the junction of Churchgate station to Saifee Hospital signal.
ROADS CLOSED FOR TRAFFIC
Entry for all types of vehicles on January 24 between 6am and 12noon on NS Road (north-bound) will be closed because of parade rehearsal. On January 26, the following roads will be closed between 4am and 2pm.
Madam Kama Road - From Mantralaya Junction to Air India Junction
Jamnalal Bajaj Marg and Vinay K Shah Marg - From junction of Walmiki Chowk
Dinshaw Wachha Raod - From J Tata Road Circle to Hotel Marin Plaza.
Veer Nariman Road - From Churchgate Junction to Sunder Mahal Juncition
Princess Street Bridge (north-bound) will be closed for vehicles
Diversion for south Mumbai will be through Vinoli Chowpatty to Sukhsagar, Opera House, MG Road to Churchgate. north-bound traffic on NS Road will be closed and diverted from South Mumbai to Haji Ali, MG Road, Opera House, Tardeo Road, Huges Road, RTI, Peddar Road to Haji Ali.
