Three​-​year​-​old drowns in IIT campus

A three​-​year​-​old boy drowned in the Powai lake ​in the IIT ​c​ampus ​on Friday. ​Police have registered a case of accidental death in this regard.

Sarthak Yewale ​(​3​)​, a resident of ​the ​IIT campus lived with his family when his uncle, a housekeeping staff was busy with his work. Th​e ​toddler went towards the lake ​unattended ​and drowned.

Bhai Mahadeshwar , senior Inspector , Powai Police Station, said, “ We were informed that a ​three-​year​-​old boy went missing ​and his body was found floating inside the lake​.​ ​We have registered a case of accidental death in this regard and no foul play has being suspected.”

“A post-mortem was conducted at Rajawadi hospital and we are investigating further, “ said Mahadeshwar.
