Silent dandiya to groove in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil style

Dandiya lovers who want to have fun without disturbing people around them are in for a treat.

A banquet hall in the city will be doing it the way Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma danced to Break Up Song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Rajmahal Banquets in Malad will be having a prolonged silent Dandiya after 11pm to 2am from September 21 to October 1. "We wanted to do something new and not around. While doing it, we were also trying to work towards environment issues by not having any noise pollution," said Aboli Anand, director of Rajmahal Banquets.

The banquet will be having a regular dandiya prior to the silent one. This will start at 7pm and go on till 10pm. After dinner, people who want to continue with the festivities will be given headphones. "The Break Up song in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had this. It was very personal. We were brainstorming on how to go agbout garba this year. We will accommodate 1,200 people for this," said Anand.

The silent garba will have headphones for Gujarati music, Bollywood and fusion tracks. "Each headphone will have all these tracks which will be assigned a light of a different colour. People or groups who want to play dandiya together can tune into the same track by identifying and coordinate the colour and come together for it," said Anand.
