Shree Sai Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, has received an anonymous letter saying that Saibaba temple would be blown up on November 9 at 9.11pm.

The letter also threatens to blow up Shirdi’s Shiv Sena office at 9.22pm the same day. Security has been beefed up on the temple premise and Shirdi town as well.

Addressing mediapersons about the letter which the Trust received on October 15, Ajay More, CEO of the Trust board, said the one-and-a-half page letter is written in Hindi. It bears the Ahmednagar post office stamp and has been handed over to superintendent of police, Ahmednagar, Raosaheb Shinde.

It threatens to blow up Shiv Sena Bhavan, site of Bal Thackeray memorial at Shivaji Park and Thackeray’s residence Matoshree and Khagra Ganesh temple in Indore.  It says the blasts would be a tribute to one ‘Khalilbhai’ who was killed in Madhya Pradesh. “Khalilbhai’s death shall not go waste,” says the letter. Commandos have been deployed at the temple. “People cannot carry cell phones on the temple premise,” said the police said.
