Servers of University of Mumbai website down, students irked

Several students under the University of Mumbai were left in a lurch as the varsity's official website was down on Monday. Students could not fill examination forms or download hall tickets from the university's official website www.mu.ac.in.

Several students were left hanging as the servers remained down on Monday. "Many students of Masters in Management Studies (MMS) who had their last day for filing forms could not do it as the website was down. Students were in a state of panic" said Sainath Durge, from Yuva Sena, Shiv Sena's youth wing.

A BMM student said that with the exams beginning on Wednesday, students were anxious as halt tickets could not be downloaded as the server remained down.

"If the website doesn't work even tomorrow, we would have to go to college to get the hall ticket" said the student on the condition of anonymity.

An official from the University said that the work to resolve the glitch was on.
