With the rise in violent crimes in the city, we, at dna, decided to check out just how safe are our ATMs. Our journalist visited 8 ATMs spread thoughout South Mumbai; the revelation, though unsettling, was hardly surprising. Even though banks have been requested to enhance the safety standards of their ATMs, especially after the incident of a woman being attacked in Bangalore, they are still rather lax.
