As Ola-Uber strike enters the fourth day today, the drivers of Ola and Uber have decided to approach the state government with a plea to start a government-run aggregator app for them. But before that, these drivers will go to the aggregator offices and protest.

At 10 am, the drivers will attend a meeting with NCP leader Sachin Ahir. Sources said that they are also mulling to meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis since the aggregator companies aren't responding to their demands, neither are they trying to establish any kind of communication them.

"At yesterday's meeting the drivers said that they would rather run their vehicles for government-run aggregator app than work for Uber and Ola," said Sunil Borkar, secretary, Maharashtra Rajya Rashtriya Kamgar Sangh (MRRKS).

Meanwhile, the strike will continue even today with over 80 per cent of them going off-road. A similar situation persisted even on Wednesday, inconveniencing lakhs of people.

Mumbai has about 50,000 app-based cabs. The drivers are demanding higher fares amid soaring fuel prices. They are protesting against the policy of allowing customers whose phone numbers are linked with Aadhar card number and suspension of drivers based on complaints made by customers in case of any untoward incident among other things.
