Now, digital degrees for Mumbai University students

The National Academic Depository (NAD), students will soon be able to access a digital version of their convocation degrees by logging on to the NAD's official portal with their Aadhar details

At Mumbai University's annual convocation on Thursday, held at Cowasjee Jehangir Hall in Fort, the varsity conferred 1,87,567 graduate and postgraduate degrees, 75 MPhil degrees and 124 PhDs. Now, with the varsity's inclusion in the list of institutes registered under the National Academic Depository (NAD), students will soon be able to access a digital version of their convocation degrees by logging on to the NAD's official portal with their Aadhar details.

NAD provides a 24x7 online system for lodging, retrieval, authentication and verification of academic awards in a digital format wherein students can receive a digital and authenticated copy of their academic awards with prescribed security features.

"The varsity has already uploaded over a lakh degrees on the portal. A link to access the certificates will be shared on the university's official website soon," said a spokesperson from the university.

Forty four students who achieved proficiency in various exams were awarded 59 medals which included 57 gold medals, a silver and one bronze.
