Mumbai session court rejects bail to man accused of rape

The woman had married a policeman in 2010. She was having a healthy married life for more than a year.

The Session's court has denied bail to a 52-year-old man who allegedly raped a policeman's wife repeatedly on the pretext of fixing up the woman's marriage.

The woman has said that even after repeated denials by the woman, the accussed forcefully raped her multiple times. The court held that the crime is a heinous one and hence, does not deserve a bail.

The woman had married a policeman in 2010. She was having a healthy married life for more than a year. 

However, the policeman's alcoholism led to differences between the couple and the woman had come to stay at her mother's home.

The accused, who is the father of the woman's friend, used to visit her maternal home regularly. The woman alleged that the accused lured the woman to have sex with him, promising that he would solve her marital problems.

However, the man denied all allegations.
