Vile Parle resident NIshtha Dewaskar complained that daily she reaches 30 minutes late to her workplace due auto-rickshaws denying to take her to her office which is at Western Express Highway, Andheri, just 2km away from her residence at Hanuman Road.

Shockingly, there is a Police chowky nearby, but she claims that no action was ever taken by the police officers against erring auto-rickshaw drivers. Dewaskar also complained that daily she has to walk till Vile Parle highway for a half kilometre and later she takes a bus or any help from the passenger as no rickshaw there ready to go to Andheri highway Metro station.

Dewaskar is a resident of Hanuman Road and working in a customer service firm close to Western Express highway metro station at Andheri East. Speaking to DNA, Nishtha Dewaskar said, "I am really frustrated with these auto drivers. I don't have any other option for transportation. Daily I have to ask 10-15 rickshaws drivers to drop me at my office, after which one of them gets ready. I also requested a police officer in police chowky but they always refused for help and most of the time the Chowky was shut."

"My office timing is 9.30 am and daily I reached office at between 9.50 to 10am. I also requested at my office and explained this problem. Daily I have to walk till Western Expressway Highway which is a half kilometre away. Later I took the bus or any rickshaw if I found luckily to go to the office. On this location, a traffic police constable should be there to help the citizen."

Senior inspector Pramod Tambe of Vakola Traffic division said, "We received complaints from DNA. We will make sure the citizens will not get any refusals from any auto drivers. We will regularly check this area."
