If the public attendance at the MMRDA grounds was any indication, the march of the Modi juggernaut is steadily gaining momentum. Whatever the reaction of the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidates supporters, the upswing in the party’s projections for the upcoming elections has fired up the hitherto despondent party workers in Maharashtra. While she also finds time for her constant involvement in jewellery design and fashionable saris, Shaina NC has been one of the more visible faces of the BJP in the state.

Considered close to LK Advani, there was in fact some talk of her relocating to Delhi to be part of the central think tank as a national spokesperson. While that hasn’t happened so far, she has been taking her responsibilities as the party’s treasurer in Maharashtra quite seriously — she apparently presented a cheque of Rs 25 crore to Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh on the sidelines of the Sunday rally. Another male bastion conquered?
