A 12-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by two minor boys at a secluded spot in the Wadala TT area on Tuesday for refusing to get them bidis from a nearby shop. The accused were arrested after the victim's family called the police control room, which in turn informed the Wadala TT police station.

According to the police, the two accused, aged 16 and 17, took the victim to an isolated ground behind the Bhakti Park complex at around 4 pm. The accused allegedly beat up the boy before one of them sodomised him while the other kept watch.

"The victim and both the accused lived in Vijay Nagar slums and knew one another. On Tuesday, one of the accused had told the victim to get him a bidi from a shop, but the victim refused," said Suhas Garud, senior inspector from Wadala TT police station. "To teach the boy a lesson, the accused forcefully dragged him to an isolated spot. One of them allegedly forced himself upon the boy while the other kept watch," added inspector Garud.

The teenagers then dumped the victim and fled. The boy somehow made his way back to his home and narrated the ordeal to his parents, who then called '100'. "We have registered a case of unnatural sex and kidnapping.

Both the accused were on the run fearing arrest, but we managed to nab them from the area itself," said inspector Garud.

Wadala TT police have booked both minor accused under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code.
