A 22-year-old has been sent behind the bars after he allegedly kidnapped a 17-year-old and took her to Valdhunis area in Kalyan and raped her. A complaint has been lodged with the Tilaknagar police station in Dombivali. The accused has been produced in court and is in police custody till July 1. Further investigation is on.

It was day time on June 25 when the accused lure the girl that he will marry her and she has to come with him to a place where they will get married as she is already pregnant so he wants to clarify certain things. The accused took her to a lodge and raped her. The girls parents were aware about the boy, so they rushed to his place but he was not there. Later to which the girl's family lodged a complaint with the Tilaknagar police station.
The accused was arrested over the tip-off from one of the police source and he was brought to Dombivali. He will be send for a medical test.
