Massive fire breaks out at Silver Pearl building on Bandra's Waterfield Road in Mumbai, efforts on to douse flames

A major fire has broken out at a commercial building in Bandra West.

The incident occurred at around 8:30 pm. Silver Pearl building, located near China Gate Hotel, along Waterfield Road in Bandra is on fire. The building is a five-storey commercial building.

“There is no clue of as to how many people are trapped inside the building. The cause of the fire is still not known even as the rescue operation is on,” a fire official said.

The fire brigade has deployed eight fire engines at the spot. There are five water tankers and an ambulance at the spot.

No injury or casualty has been reported so far.

Efforts to douse the flames are on.
