A study done by a travel portal has revealed how men and women differ while preparing for a honeymoon — while women want to pack everything they may or may not need, men prefer to pack light, and while women cannot do without their make-up items, men want to pack everything that will make the honeymoon more adventurous.

The survey by TravelTriangle states that while marriage is held as a landmark occasion "which takes considerable effort and planning", the honeymoon too is never far behind when it comes to the elaborate preparation involved. The survey revealed that men and women differ greatly when it comes to packing their bags for this "once-in-a-lifetime trip every couple looks forward to".

According to the survey, men prefer to pack light with a few change of clothes, while women try to fit "their entire wardrobe into a suitcase". Women even prepared for every contingency when it came to shoes, packing everything from sandals to belles, stilettos; men, on the other hand, just made do with a pair each of shoes and flip-flops.

TravelTriangle's AVP (marketing) Abhinna Suresh Khare said, "Men and women think differently but complement each other perfectly. Through our 'Unsaid Honeymoon Truths', we have celebrated this difference in thinking in a quirky, humorous way by highlighting the packing preparation of husbands and wives before honeymoon."

The survey also highlighted how the husbands also took their favourite gadgets along, while the wives chose make-up and accessories for every occasion. Women also packed extra bags and suitcases to hold all the shopping done during the trip. The husbands, however, were uncompromising when packing the more 'fun' stuff that "makes a honeymoon special".
