Maharashtra Monsoon Session to be aided by Ola

For the first time during assembly session in Nagpur, state Government would deploy Ola Cabs for the officials to commute. Around 100 environment friendly zero emission Ola Cabs and 100 taxis will be made available during the session.

Divisional commissioner of Nagpur, Anup Kumar informed that since Nagpur already has 100 environment friendly zero emission cars running on the road, charging stations are available for these cars within the city. He informed that during the Monsoon Session, a total of 200 Cabs would be booked out of which these 100 e-cars would also work for the movement of officials during the session. These green cars would be requisitioned through Ola app.

An official informed on the condition of anonymity that if Ola cabs are used, the officials would be using it judiciously, which is why the government has decided to deploy taxis and cabs this time.

Generally the city hosts the Winter Session of the state assembly, however, this time it will host the Monsoon Session from July 4 to July 20.
