Restraining from commenting on choice of Kiran Bedi to lead the party in Delhi during elections, Chhatisgarh chief minister Dr Raman Singh on Wednesday said that there was some mistake somewhere that we could not create a leadership within Delhi that led to the defeat.

Dr Singh was in Mumbai for past two days for showcasing his state for the potential investors. He held meetings with various corporate leaders and IT professionals along with a delegation of officials from Chhattisgarh.

When asked as to whether it was a mistake to ask Kiran Bedi to lead the party for the elections, Raman Singh did not answer the question. But said, "We could not create it within Delhi and there is some mistake somewhere which why we lost the election."

Speaking to media persons, he said that Delhi assembly election was fought on local issues and the results of this election would not have any bearing on national politics. He added that this election result would not have any bearing on ensuing elections of other states as well since the elections in these states would be fought on state specific issues.

Dr Singh made it clear that the party president has given a statement that this defeat would be looked in to critically and party would study it. He said that there is some mistake somewhere which is why party faced the defeat and party would review it as to what were the promises made in the state and what was delivered.
