The police is still figuring out the motive behind the murder as Sayyed is not cooperating in the probe and his changing his statements frequently.
Nineteen-year-old Muzammil Sayyed, who has been arrested by Bangur Nagar police for allegedly murdering his 23-year-old girlfriend Mansi Dixit has told the police that his friendship with Dixit gave him a sense of pride and satisfaction among his friend circle, as according to Sayyed, he had always been bullied since his school days by his peers. Sayyed told the police that he is remorseful for his actions.
“Sayyed says that his peer group used to tease him and gave him a feeling that nothing good can happen to Sayyed and that no girl would ever become his friend. When Mansi came in Sayyed’s life, this gave him a perfect opportunity to show his friends and fellow mates. Dixit and Sayyed were known to each other for more than three months. Sayyed had later decided to take a step forward in the friendship with Dixit, which the latter was not ready for,” said a police officer requesting anonymity.

“The accused says he is remorseful for what he did. We are probing what exactly transpired that day when Sayyed murdered Dixit” the officer added.
Dixit who was struggling to get a debut in an entertainment web series is said to be extremely professional by her colleagues and other workmates. “Dixit worked with me for more than three portfolio photoshoot and her way of working was very professional and ethical. We never sensed anything suspicious from her gestures and we are still in a state of shock and are finding it difficult to come to terms that she is no more.” said a model photographer while speaking to DNA.
