The most vivacious festival, Navratri, has come to an end with people saying adieu to nine-day celebration.

As a mark of victory, followed with Ramleela, effigy of Ravana is burnt at many places. Few housing societies in Thane organised Ramleela for children who participated and played different roles.

Parag Das, a resident from Valley Tower Annexe, said, "Our children don't know much about mythology so, we thought about enacting the play and asked them to play different roles. They have also been taught at their schools and played small roles, but to include all the children from the society we made arrangements and kids performed Ramleela."

"The kids too were excited about playing the role. Younger children were entitled to play role of soldiers, while the elders are paying key role of Vibhishan, Ravan and among others," says Kalpana Ranjan, a parent.

Parijat Dutta from Subharambh Complex says, "The kids should know about mythology and our culture and Ramleela is the most interactive way to make them understand about it. Children enjoy when they play different roles as it becomes part of activity for them. My son, Arav and daughter Alisha, both are performing in the play."

"We want our children to know the difference between good and evil. So, certainly Dussehra is the festival which conveys the message in a very simple way. My son Vinayak is playing role of Ravan in the play and is very kicked about the celebration. He has done rehearsals in advance and is sure to deliver the best," says Manish Kumar, another parent.
