Trashing down the state government's provisions for the minority community in the Vote of Account presented on Tuesday, Abu Asim Azmi, the state head of Samajwadi Party, has renewed his allegation of ill-treatment of the community by the state government.

Azmi has blamed that the government has allocated a meagre amount for the welfare of the community.

In a press statement, Azmi said, "Only Rs81 crore has been sanctioned for Madrassa development and Rs40 crore for housing for minority which is a negligible amount considering the need of the community."
He also alleged that the government spent only 18% of the allocated amount for the minorities allocated in the previous budget.
