Stating that history is a proof of man's unending desire to conquer everything around him, Union Minister for Commerce and Industries, Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu on Sunday asked youngsters to innovate in such a way that would serve the larger public interest.

Addressing the Entrepreneurship summit at IIT Bombay, Powai campus organized by Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) which is country's largest student-run entrepreneurship promoting body, he said that disruptions have been the hallmark of human development for over thousands of years and these disruptions have paved the way for development. He said that change is the only permanent thing and while bringing about change one should keep in mind as to what we are losing. He said that innovations should be for serving the larger public interest and while one innovates we should not be losing something which we can not recreate.

Pointing out that there are certain things like environment, forest and weather which we take for granted, Prabhu said that while ushering in development, we have to keep in mind that we should not be losing precious things in life. He said that our country after Independence transformed in 1991 after a number of reforms were introduced. He said that professors and students should take into consideration that by 2030, India would develop in such a way that economy would grow at least four times and we should innovate in such a way that would transform and bring positive change in various spheres of life.
