With long weekends, it's bonanza time for air travellers as airfare war continues with Indigo and GoAir planning to join the flash discount by matching it up with SpiceJet, reveals agents and travel industry insiders.
SpiceJet airline on Tuesday announced special airfares from seven cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad and Pune. The low fares travel can be made anytime between June 10 to August 10 this year, as per the conditions laid by the airlines, said the airline officials.
The SpiceJet website states that passenger from Mumbai can connect to 30 cities including Kochi, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Surat, Kolkata, Kochi and Chennai for fares starting at Rs2,249. Similarly, Pune and Surat are connected with 10 and 6 cities respectively starting from Rs1,849.
Travel industry insiders claim that IndiGo and GoAir are also expected to announce a similar offer to beat the competition.
