Husband threatens to send divorce notice, wife files plaint

In a shocking incident, a 27 years old woman from Mumbra approached the cops to file the complaint against her husband after he allegedly threatened to send a divorce notice to her over a petty fight. The accused husband is now on the run and could face the arrest after the investigation unfolds.

According to Mumbra police, the complainant Shakira Ansari,27 a resident of Kausa-Mumbra her husband identified as Ahmed Ansari allegedly threatened her to send the divorce notice as he did not keep his promise to take her at his residence while demanded money from the complainant while gave her threats of divorce.

"The complainant have alleged that she has been harassed by her husband and she cannot tolerate the threats given by him to serve her with divorce notices while he wanted money to get a house so that they can move into which led to petty fights among them", said a Mumbra police official. "We have registered the case under section 498(A)(Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and we will arrest the accused after the investigation", said SB Choudhary, Investigating officer, Mumbra police station.
