When it comes to the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE) exams, the toppers in the state are Isha Sethi from Hiranandani Foundation School, Powai, and Manan Shah from Children's Academy, Kandivli, both of whom scored 99% and ranked second in the all-India merit list.

Speaking about her success, Maddi said: "I just concentrated on my textbook and worksheet assignments. I was not keen on joining any coaching classes for my ISC examinations. My only goal was to score above 98% and I never imagined that I would be the all-India or state topper. Now that I have got such good scores, I am really happy. I thank all my teachers and my parents for their support." She added that she wishes to opt either for engineering or research and said that she has appeared for the JEE-Mains as well as for the MHT-CET exams.

Puggal, who scored 99.5% in the humanities stream, said: "I am very happy, this is not what I expected. I took the help of my school teachers each time I had a doubt. I am planning to pursue my further education in liberal arts, or I will go for a normal graduation in Arts." Puggal's best scores were 100% in sociology and psychology.

Sethi, the joint state topper in ICSE, said: "I wish to pursue my career in computer engineering and have started coaching classes for the subject. I didn't sacrifice anything much that students usually tend to forgo during exams, but I did stop using WhatsApp for a month before my exams started. I give credit to my school teachers and my parents for all their support." Sethi scored 100% in computer application, history and geography.

Shah, the other state topper in ICSE, told dna: "I am feeling very happy. For this success, I want to give credit to my parents, teachers and all my friends who supported me. I concentrated completely on my project work throughout the year, which helped in increasing my percentage." Shah scored 100% in social studies and physical studies.
