Ghee production unit sealed, 19 drums of ghee seized at Vasai

A flying squad from the Vasai Tehsildar office on Monday night seized 19 drums containing ghee, that was manufactured in the industrial unit without adequate production licenses.

Royal Ghee was produced at Jivdani Real Estate in Dhumal Nagar of Vasai (E). They have been producing cow ghee for the past two years without any license, and the raid was conducted after tip off from an NGO.

"We seized 13kgs of ghee in 19 drums and have sealed the unit. The report has been sent to the Valiv police station and further action will be taken if the industrial unit fails to procure adequate documents," said an officer from the Tehsildar office in Vasai.
