When I heard that Hokey Pokey Ice Cream is now offering customers the fun and interactive experience of creating their own ice cream mixes on a cold stone, being the ice cream buff that I am—I had to try it out. I visited their outlet near HR College at Churchgate to take my taste buds on a little adventure.

First off, I had never tasted cold stone ice cream before and didn't know what to expect. I imagined "cold stone" might be Latin for some fancy ice cream making machine but much to my surprise it was just that—a frozen cold stone on which flavours and toppings are mixed.
I was told I could either go for a Hokey Pokey signature mix devised by their ice cream flavour masterminds or if I'm feeling adventurous enough, I could create my own.
As shocking as it may sound, I'm not a fan of chocolate. So, while my friends tried out a few of the amazing signature mixes like Knight In Armour, which is basically French vanilla ice cream with Oreo, dark chocolate chips and dark chocolate fudge; and Double Chocolate Therapy, which is dark chocolate Ice cream with chocolate brownie, nutella and dark chocolate fudge; I decided to make my own mix. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavour and mixed it with biscuit crumbs and rainbow sprinkles and of course, shortly after, I was in ice cream heaven!

The icing on the cake, or the ice cream in this case, was hearing the friendly staff at Hokey Pokey tell me about an ice cream mix I've never heard of before—the NH7 Weekender Mix. The brand has launched this limited edition flavour in association with the immensely popular music festival, the Bacardi NH7 weekender. This one-of-a-kind mix made with fresh cream ice cream with chocolate brownies, chocolate hazelnuts and caramel swirls will be available at the music festival venues.
While making your own mix is fun, it is also an overwhelming experience because of the sheer variety of mix-ins that you have to choose from. So, here's a shout out to all ice cream fans...this treat is worth checking out. And, there's a clean way to get "stoned" at the NH7 Weekender this month, if you know what I mean?
