Friends kill 24-year-old with bat

A heated argument between a group of friends has led to the death of a 24-year-old youth in Ulhasnagar. The incident occurred on January 31 around 4pm, when four friends were heading home on two bikes after playing a game at Saraswati school ground.

While heading home, three friends and accused sat on one bike, while victim Sachin Chandrakant Bobde rode alone. On the way, Bobde hit the accused's bike, which led to a heated argument between them. In the fit of rage the three friends starting hitting Bobde with bat and one of them hit him on his head and he succumbed to his injuries at JJ hospital. Accused Akash Kohli, Santosh Jubella alias Charsa and Satish Kamble have been arrested. The deceased's family has lodged a complaint against the three.

"The friends had a heated argument and the deceased was beaten up brutally, which led to his death. The accused have confessed," said an official.
