It has been reported that the characters played by Vivek Oberoi and Richa Chadha in the web series, Inside Edge, based on one of the biggest cricket spectacles, Indian Premiere League (IPL), are inspired by Lalit Modi, the former chairman who was sacked in 2010 for alleged fraud and money laundering, and one of the team owners, Preity Zinta. Now we hear that the series directed by Karan Anshuman that’s set to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video next month, has a love scene between Vivek, who plays the founder of the league and Richa, who plays a team owner.

Sexual favours
Says a source, “As the series deals with the murky side of the sports spectacle, Richa’s character — an actress who owns a franchise team — is shown to be going through financial losses. To keep afloat in the business, she has to compromise with Vivek, the founder of the league, who seeks sexual favours. There’s even a scene involving sexual bondage.” Richa’s character is also shown as dating a cricketer played by Angad Bedi.
Preity to approve!
Although, there are no confirmations on whether the characters are indeed based on Modi and Zinta, or are fictional, Preity has reportedly got in touch with the series producer Farhan Akhtar and requested him to show it to her before it is streamed.
