After facing severe drubbing in the state assembly polls, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday addressed party workers asking them to win the hearts of people than just running after votes during elections.

Addressing party leaders in Pune, Raj Thackeray said, "Only elections are not important in politics, it is also important to reach out to people and understand their problems. Win the hearts of the people."

Stating that no disorder will be tolerated in the party, Thackeray added, "If any party leader puts-out a hoarding on birthday, he will be removed from the party the very next day."

He further added, "One need not resort to violent agitation every time to fulfil demands. One can get the work done by bonding good relations."

Advising party workers that they should not restrict social work to conducting blood donation camps and distributing fruits, Raj Thackeray said," Solve the issues that people are facing in their day to day life. Do such works that you will be always remembered."

Raj also told party workers to connect on 'rajthackeray@gmail.com' if they want to implement any programme in the region or if they have any suggestions.

MNS, which had won 11 seats in 2009 assembly elections was decimated to only 1 seat in the recently concluded state assembly polls.
