Hailing from Etawah, now famous as the bastion of the Yadav clan and its patriarch Mulayam Singh, Jain moved to Delhi 28 years ago after working in two other metros: Mumbai and Kolkata. The capital city's welcoming embrace and the Jain community's support persuaded him to stay in Delhi. Jain's business grew steadily thanks to technology but in the early years it was a nightmare understanding all the technical aspects of the printing industry. Jain's major grouse with Delhi is that it is not an elderly friendly city. "I prefer to commute by DTC buses rather than Metros which are overcrowded. I cannot walk fast and push or jostle. So I avoid the Metro," says Jain.
The traffic on the roads is also becoming a problem for Jain. "To use a toilet, I have to cross the road amid heavy traffic. This is a nearly impossible task. There is a long queue to use the two public urinals. In such situation, what will an old fellow, like me, do?"
