Demolition in Shubhada-Sukhada today

The BMC will finally raze the illegal alterations undertaken on the ground and first floors of Worli's Shubhada-Sukhada co-operative housing societies on February 10, if they are provided police protection, a senior civic official informed. Politicians such as late BJP leader Gopinath Munde, former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, former forest minister Patangrao Kadam, former food and civil supplies minister Anil Deshmukh, his son Salil Deshmukh, governor of Punjab Shivraj Patil, state Congress chief Manikrao Thakre are some of the members of the society. The civic body conducted two inspections earlier in December to flag illegal alterations in the structures.
