The victim also blames his father-in-law, Avadhish Tiwari, and sister-in-law, Nisha. Grabs of the video also show the victim saying that his life has been ruined and, therefore, he was bound to go take end his life.

There are many laws for women in the country but not a single to protect men, the victim told his friends. Drilling further into the probe, the police have begun questioning Tiwari's in-laws.

The victim hails from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, and lived with his family in Shiv Vihar locality of Karwal Nagar.

Police said he worked as a distributor of engine oil at automobile shops.

A similar dispute broke on January 2, when Kiran left the house without informing anyone.

They got to know about it after their father called Vijay's in-laws' house who informed that Kiran was with them. Enraged over Kiran's behaviour, Vijay left for his in-laws', the brother told police.

Vijay was thrashed by his in-laws after the dispute took an ugly turn, the brother said.

They even threatened to file a case against him.

Vijay slipped into depression and ended his life at around 9 pm on Friday. Doctors pronounced him dead after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The vicitm was survived by his father, Ramkewal Tiwari, and two-and-a-half-year-old twin children. The body was handed over to the relatives after the an autopsy on Saturday. Police are scanning Vijay's mobile to crack the case.
