The Paraskar family has rubbished the complaint by the 27-year-old tenant who has alleged that she was molested and her husband was threatened. According to Ravi Paraskar, a 59-year-old business consultant, the case is a ploy to discredit the family and to implicate his brother Sunil again.

Ravi told dna, "The advocate who is representing the model in the alleged rape case is helping the complainants in this case as well. This case has been fabricated to cancel Sunil's bail."

He said that the couple had approached him after he had put an advertisement to rent his house. Knowing that they were friends of his brother, he decided to rent the house to them in May. "There was acute water shortage at the buidilng. Besides, there was dampening of the walls. They would call me regularly to complain about this," he said.

He also alleged that the husband abused a girl in the building over a petty matter. "Two NCs were filed against the man as his behaviour could not be tolerated by the other tenants; he was abusive and violent," Ravi said.

He said that when the family called the couple to sort out the issue and warn him about his behaviour, the two filed a false case against them. "My wife and Sunil's wife were at home when the couple visited us on September 2. We were discussing the issue and asked him to behave himself as there were many complaints against him," said Ravi.

He also said that they did not threaten or abuse anybody. "The duo did not want to leave the house and they were upset that we did not support him when the complaint was filed by the tenants. So they approached an advocate who in turn wanted to implicate me and my brother," Ravi said.
