Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will not move into his official residence Varsha for a month. Sources said he wants to enter the house only after he proves majority on the floor. Also, before entering, the family plans to seek advice from a family pandit on an auspicious time to move in and satyanarayan puja.

"He visited the official residence on Friday with his mother. It was a customary visit. They took a quick tour. We have asked the chief minister to suggest the changes he wants in the bungalow. It should be ready by next week. But CM sir has insisted that he will do gruh pravesh after a month," said a source.

Sources said Fadnavis is a simple man. He thinks he will take time to settle in his new responsibility, adopt a new schedule and adjust with family.

"In the next few days, after the special session, he will be in a better position to chalk out his plan. He understands and appreciates the fact that staying in the official residence will help government officials reach him better.

Also, Torna bungalow, which has been converted into an office, is attached to Varsha," said the source.

When asked about her settling in in the official residence, Amruta, his wife, said, "It depends on Devendraji, how he wants to plan it. Nevertheless, we will have a small satyanarayan puja before moving in."
