Khan reached Mumbai airport at around 7.30pm and entered Galaxy apartments amid chants of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', even as police tried to control fans who had jumped over security barricades.
Hundreds of Salman Khan fans gathered outside his residence in Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai and were distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers to welcome the actor. The crowd started outside his residence began swelling as soon as the news broke about the 52-year-old actor being granted bail by the Jodhpur court.

Ranjana Roy had come all the way from Kolkata with her 12-year-old daughter Sunita to see her favourite actor wave to them from his apartment on the first floor.
"My daughter has not eaten anything since Salman was sent to jail," said Roy. "We were hoping that he would be released soon and reach home safely. We have been here for two days and were praying for his early release."
A group of youngsters from the Salman Khan fan club in Amravati too had spent sleepless nights outside Galaxy apartments. "We could not believe that Bhai had to spend two nights in the jail. He has been helping children through charity, and we are happy to hear about his release and are waiting to wave at him. We will go home only after seeing him safe," said Vinit Patil, a 22-year-old marketing executive.
After going home, Khan appeared on the balcony of his apartment to wave to his fans. "This moment was worth the two-day wait," said Zeeshan Shaikh, a Juhu resident. "We have been praying continuously for his early release. Bhai is not guilty and he has not done anything wrong. His charity for the poor trumps every thing."
