The dna Auto Expo which kick-started on Saturday was the perfect opportunity for buyers to get all their favourite cars under one roof and just in time for the festive season. The two-day show is being organised at Viviana Mall, Thane and will showcase vehicles from Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Hyundai.
The expo is a delight for families looking to invest in a car but don’t have the time to do the rounds of individual car company showrooms across the city. “We have been looking around for a while so this was a one-stop shop for us to see all the brands together and compare them,” said Sunil Jhurani, a Thane resident who visited the expo with his wife.
The exhibition also saw the Nissan Terrano on display for the first time in the city. Terrano, the SUV which was launched earlier this month in the premium segment is pitted against the popular Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport.
It wasn’t only aspiring car buyers who flocked to the dna Auto Expo, but auto enthusiasts looking for a closer look at the newly launched cars too stopped by. Swapneel Deshpande, a student, also wandered into the expo. He said, “We see these cars on the road but don’t really get to have a look at the interiors or the engine. At such an exhibition, one can thoroughly check out a car,” he said after visiting the expo.
Some enthusiasts also got the opportunity to update themselves on whats new in the auto industry. “I was part of the industry until a while ago. So this was the perfect opportunity for me to find out what the industry is up to,” said N Ramchandran, a former employee of Tata Motors.
