Abu Jundal’s statement to the crime branch has yet again proved how Pakistan and its intelligence service, ISI, are hatching plans to unleash terror in India.

He stated how ISI top brass had come to the control room in Karachi, from where the 10 terrorists, including Ajmal Kasab, were being instructed during the 2008 attacks in Mumbai.

LeT’s naval chief Yakub was one of the instructors.

Jundal’s statement also reveals how the ISI and the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT)  are hand in glove for plotting against India.
Jundal also told the crime branch that during his stay in Pakistan for training at a LeT camp, he got a remuneration of Rs4,000 and enjoyed the support and help of the Federal police and paramilitary organisations in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, he was helped by ISI in getting a passport under the fake name of Riyasat Ali. The passport was seized by the Delhi police after he was arrested.

Kasab had also told the police about Pakistan’s role in conspiring against India. When Jundal was conversing with the 10 terrorists using the Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), the crime branch managed to intercept the calls. Five different voices, including Jundal’s, were played before three persons who knew the 26/11 before he fled the country. All three persons had said Jundal’s voice recorded here and the voice recorded during the attack were the same.

The recordings have been sent to the Kalina forensic laboratory.
Jundal was also charged under section 188 of the Criminal Procedure Code. However, the permission of the Government of India was required for the application of this section. The permission is awaited. The permission copy for this section needs to be produced before the trial court.

Jundal also told the police that Zaki-ur-Rehman had instructed all people involved to observe Roza for the success of 26/11 attacks.
He told his interrogators that after pressure started mounting on Pakistan, they were all informed in advance to vacate their hideouts so that the Pakistani authorities could conduct raids at empty dens to hoodwink authorities. The ISI provided safe hideouts to all those involved in carrying out the terror attacks.
