4 arrested for rioting in Jogeshwari, 9 on the run

The Oshiwara police have arrested four persons for rioting in Jogeshwari (West). The police are on the look out for nine others.

The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Arif Amin Khan, 28, Shajid Amin Khan, 22, Dilshad Abdul Gafarkhan, 32, and Mohammad Shabbir Moinkhan, 32, while those wanted have been identified only as Ahat Khan, Abdul Waah, Raju, Imtiyaz, Bada Raju, Sajid Khan, Shabbir Khan, Dilshad Khan, Hasan Ali, all residents of Gulshan Nagar in Jogeshwari (W).

According to the police, the accused persons gathered at the Gulshan Nagar based office of complainant Sayyed Majid Gulzar alias Vicky, 29, a businessman and attacked him with swords, hockey sticks, pipes and rods. “The four arrested accused persons have been remanded in police custody till December 11 by a Andheri metropolitan court on Friday,” said complainant’s advocate Avinash Dubey.
