Mumbai police crime branch arrsted two persons in connection with stealing over 3kg silver valuables from five Jain temples in different areas in the norther suburbs.

Mumbai police crime branch arrsted two persons in connection with stealing over 3kg silver valuables from five Jain temples in different areas in the norther suburbs.
The two accused have been identified as Dilip alias Dipu Mishra (30), Shivlal Patel (29). The duo was arrested on Thursday from Fruit market located in Borivali (east) after police team received tip off on their location. At the time of arrest 100 gm of silver was found from one of the accused.
The silver valuables were stolen from Jain temples located in Kandivali, Goregaon and Borivali.
Recently, many thefts in Jain temples were being reported in the northern suburbs which lead to serious concern amongst the community members. Following this a probe was ordered by Crime branch chief Himanshu Roy.
During the course of interrogations the duo admitted to having committed the burglaries in five Jain Temples. Police suspect that the duo could be involved in more similar cases. The duo has been remanded to police custody.
