Skoda Octavia Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 15.75 lakh

Skoda India has launched a limited edition anniversary spin-off of the Octavia sedan. Called the Octavia Anniversary Edition, Skoda India has priced it at Rs 15.75 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The anniversary edition sedan will get new features over and above the standard ones. 

The Octavia Anniversary Edition will get Skoda's SmartLink connectivity for the first time in the Indian market. The new SmartLink function will let smartphones seemlessly connect to the car, and will let the person use select apps on the infotainment system display. SmartLink will be able to operate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink systems. 

Other new features include a rear view camera, keyless entry, engine start-stop, rear side airbags, and gear shift controls on the steering wheel. 

With the addition of the two new rear side airbags, the entire Octavia range now gets eight airbags.
