Refined soya oil futures remain weak on low demand

Refined soya oil prices fell further by 0.23 per cent to Rs 611.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants engaged in trimming positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on low demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May month declined by Rs 1.40, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 611.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 50,300 lots.

Analysts said that offloading of positions by traders owing to tepid demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
