Honda Cars India has launched the new 'sporty and youthful' Brio hatchback at a starting price of Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
On the outside, to lend the new car a sporty look, Honda has given the new Brio a new black and chrome-finish front grille and a new front bumper. At the back, it gets new tail lamps and a new tailgate spoiler with LED lights. The new Brio also gets five colours -- Taffeta White, Alabaster Silver, Urban Titanium, Rally Red, and White Orchid Pearl.
On the inside, the cabin gets an all-new instrument panel, new air vents, a triple analog sporty meter, 2-DIN integrated Audio with USB and Aux-in with bluetooth.
It gets two options for the upholstery -- beige and black.
Commenting on the launch, Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India, said, "The new Brio is an all-rounder -- spacious, comfortable, looks good, has a fabulous effective engine, and delivers great fuel economy. We expect to strike a new chord with the young nad vivacious Indians," with the new Brio.
The new Brio gets a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine, capable of putting out 88 PS power at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 109 N, at 4,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual greatbox and five-speed automatic transmission.
The new Brio will be available in four variants -- E MT for Rs 4.69 lakh, the S MT for Rs 5.20 lakh, VX MT for Rs 5.95 lakh and the automatic VX AT for Rs 6.81 lakh.
