IndiGo's InterGlobe Aviation stock surges 9% on buzz of FTSE inclusion

The company commands a market valuation of Rs 36,152.77 crore, making it the biggest domestic carrier by market capitalisation.

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation surged nearly 9% on Friday amid reports of the stock's inclusion in the FTSE indices.

The stock which has recently debuted on the bourses soared 8.65% to settle at Rs 1,003.25 on BSE. Intra-day, it surged 11.83% to Rs 1,032.70.

At NSE, shares of the company jumped 8.74% to end at Rs 1,004.10. As per reports, index provider FTSE is likely to add IndiGo to four of its indices with effect from November 18, 2015.

However, there is no official word on the company's inclusion in the FTSE index.

Shares of IndiGo's parent InterGlobe Aviation made a remarkable debut on bourses on Tuesday, surging nearly 15%, over the issue price of Rs 765 per share. In just three trading sessions, the stock has gained over 31% over the issue price.

The company commands a market valuation of Rs 36,152.77 crore, making it the biggest domestic carrier by market capitalisation.
