Beleaguered businessman Vijay Mallya took a jibe at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), calling it 'elite police' while on a tweeting spree about the investigative agency, the media, and the allegations against him and the UPA government recently.
Mallya played the victim card, saying that the CBI was guilty of selectively releasing e-mails to the media.
CBI selectively releasing e-mails to media which are being taken out of context and distorted to make allegations against me and UPA regime

Media happily being used as the pitch. I am the football. Two fiercely competitive teams NDA versus UPA playing.Unfortunately no Referees.

The tweets came after a court issued a non-bailable warrant against Mallya on Thursday in the IDBI Bank loan default case.
Earlier, details from CBI had emerged which indicated that special favours were done to provide credit to Kingfisher Airlines even though the company's rating was questionable.
"Special judge for CBI cases H S Mahajan issued the NBW after the agency's affidavit provided Mallya's precise address in the UK," a PTI report said.
On Thursday, days after markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) barred Mallya from holding chairman or directorship position in any listed companies in the country, it also asked brokers to square off all existing open positions in the equity derivatives segment held for him and six other United Spirits officials.
